Community World Service Asia (CWSA) is implementing a multi-sectoral project in Nangarhar Province, integrating Food Security, Livelihood, WASH and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) to enhance resilience and well-being of vulnerable communities. The Agriculture Officer will play a vital role in supporting the Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) initiatives, focusing on sustainable food production, environmental resilience, and improved agricultural livelihoods for vulnerable communities, especially farmers.

The Agriculture Officer will be responsible for the successful planning, implementation, and monitoring of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) interventions within the project. He/she will provide technical expertise, ensure appropriate farmer selection, conduct training sessions, coordinate with key stakeholders, and oversee the distribution of agricultural inputs to farmers in the targeted districts.

• Oversee the distribution of agricultural packages and farming tools in line with FSAC cluster guidelines.

• Provide support to the procurement department in selecting venders and procuring quality agricultural tools and inputs.
• Ensure appropriate coordination and communication between the project team, community representatives, and stakeholders at both district and provincial levels.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team to conduct baseline surveys and assess the impact of CSA interventions.
• Track progress of training sessions and input distribution to ensure project objectives are met.
• Document and prepare detailed training reports for each session, including attendance, key discussions, and farmer feedback.
• Develop general project reports on CSA interventions and provide recommendations for improving future agricultural activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field, a relevant Master Degree will be preferred
