Key Responsibilities For Health & Nutrition Nurse – CARE Afghanistan | Latest Acbar Jobs Khost Apply Online 2025

Conduct health screening and provide appropriate treatment or referrals according to national protocols.

Maintain accurate records using official health and nutrition reporting templates.

Support pharmacy management including medicine distribution and stock card updates.

Perform nursing procedures such as injections, IV administration, and dressing of injuries.

Collaborate with nutrition counselors in OPD-SAM, OPD-MAM, growth monitoring, and awareness campaigns.
-
Distribute Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), RUSF, and Super Cereal based on guidelines.
-
Ensure stock management protocols are followed for nutrition supplies and medical stock.

Admit patients into SAM/MAM programs, monitor their progress, and maintain treatment documentation.

Provide care to pregnant and lactating women following IMAM and national nutrition guidelines.

Assist doctors in OPD, emergency response, and in the absence of the doctor, perform basic consultations.
Required Qualifications and Experience in the Health & Nutrition Nurse – CARE Afghanistan | Latest Acbar Jobs Khost Apply Online 2025

Education:

Graduate of a nursing, pharmacy, or community health program.

A diploma in nutrition or a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/medical sciences is an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in BPHS health facilities or pharmacy/stock management.

Additional years of experience in similar roles will be considered a plus.

Skills:

Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and understanding of community-level health work.

Familiarity with national treatment guidelines for malnutrition and primary care.
