Key Responsibilities – Acbar Jobs in Nangarhar 2025

The selected Midwife will provide essential maternal and newborn care services, including:

Clinical Duties:

• Provide health education and counseling on pregnancy, childbirth, nutrition, hygiene, and family planning.

• Deliver antenatal (ANC), postnatal (PNC), and labor care.

• Conduct normal and breech deliveries, perform episiotomies and suturing when required.

• Manage emergency situations (manual placenta removal, resuscitation, bimanual compression).

• Provide immediate newborn care and neonatal resuscitation if needed.

• Support and advise on infant feeding, vaccination, and breastfeeding.

• Provide care for women with gynecological issues and procedures such as manual vacuum aspiration.

Management Duties:

• Request maternity-related materials in a timely manner.

• Organize, manage, and monitor MCH (Maternal & Child Health) activities.

• Keep proper records and submit timely reports of all activities.

• Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Safety & Quality:

• Ensure safe use and storage of medical equipment.

• Report equipment faults and manage waste disposal safely.
