1. Nutritional Services for Children and Mothers:

• Screen under-5 children and pregnant/lactating women (PLW) at health facilities.

• Classify nutritional status (SAM/MAM/Normal) and enroll malnourished cases in outpatient programs.

• Conduct medical check-ups, appetite tests, and anthropometric assessments.

• Provide nutritional treatment and routine medication based on IMAM protocols.

• Refer complicated SAM cases to IPD for further care.

• Educate caregivers on proper feeding, hygiene, and child health practices.

2. Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records and complete reporting tools (daily, weekly, and monthly).

• Ensure equipment, medicines, and nutrition supplies are ready before field visits.

• Organize and file all project documents professionally.

3. Support to IYCF Counseling:

• Promote exclusive breastfeeding and IYCF practices.

• Conduct awareness sessions for mothers on the “1000 Days of Life” approach.

• Refer clients to relevant services when needed.

• Assist counselors in community health education.

Job Requirements – Who Can Apply?

• Medical Nursing degree from a recognized institution.

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in health and nutrition (especially OPD, pediatric wards, TFU).

• Strong skills in community engagement, reporting, planning, and team coordination.

• Willingness to travel to rural areas with Mahram.

• Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English.

• Basic computer literacy (MS Office) is a plus.

• Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
